Flat faces mean restricted airflow — a no-pull harness isn’t optional, it’s required. Deep skin folds trap moisture and bacteria daily, which is why wrinkle wipes and paste are on every breeder’s list. And brachycephalic breeds overheat fast, so a cooling pad and a fan in the crate area during San Diego summers are non-negotiable.
